As you may be aware, building costs in our area have risen substantially over the past few years. We want to take this opportunity to suggest that you look over the insurance coverage amount on your home. Due to increased building costs your home may be underinsured.
Your insurance company strives to keep pace with such costs but it is wise to periodically go over the coverage yourself. We have found that an average-style home costs approximately $125 per square foot to build, custom homes can cost up to $165 per square foot.
